Cody Kilby grew up a musical prodigy - endorsed by Gibson banjos at age 11, recording an acclaimed album at age 16 on which he played all instruments, being named National Flatpicking Champion at age 17. These days he’s a solo artist, an in-demand studio musician, and a member of Ricky Skaggs’ Kentucky Thunder band. Since joining Kentucky Thunder, Cody has received four Grammies, including three for Bluegrass Album of the Year, and one for Best Country Performance by Duo or Group. Cody has also been nominated several times for the International Bluegrass Music Association's (IBMA) Guitar Player of the Year. In the past decade, Cody has had the pleasure of performing with: Bo Diddley, Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, Dolly Parton, The Dixie Chicks, Ronnie Milsap, Ty England, Tracy Lawerence, Chris & Sally Jones, John Anderson, Tim Graves, and many, many, others. He has appeared in Acoustic Guitar Player magazine, and was ranked in the "Top 101 Forgotten Greats & Unsung Heroes" in Guitar Player Magazine, February 2007 edition. Kilby performs regularly at the Grand Ol Opry.
