Soilwork Info

Formed in late 1995 as Inferior Breed, this Swedish metal band changed their name to Soilwork—meaning "working from the ground up"—in late 1996. They've released nine albums since then, and are slowing no signs of slowing down.

Their sound is a fusion of classic Swedish metal with the riff stylings of the late 1970s rock, early 1980s British rock, and European metal. Soilwork's most recent albums contain elements from other genres such as blues rock and alternative metal, showcase a more melodic sound, and boast more polished production.
