What does Metal Mike use to achieve his sound and playing style? One important part is his Tortex Jazz pick.

“My Dunlop H3 Tortex guitar picks are incredibly important to my guitar sound and playing style. Its the most intimate piece of gear. They are perfect – they are able to offer precision and clean sound. I am known to use the same pick day after day. In 100% honesty, I can not imagine using anything else” – Metal Mike Chlasciak

Metal Mike pens his own guitar column for Guitar World magazine called “Metal For Life” and has over the years released five solo-based albums. He is currently playing guitar for Halford, led by Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford.

While online lessons are very affordable, they are not right for everyone. If you are comparing online classes, be sure to research whether or not you will be allowed to communicate with an instructor or if the lessons are strictly recorded pieces of material to follow through video and text. If you are purchasing an e-book, chances are the contents of the book is all you will have to refer to. While any quality lesson is a good lesson, it is important to do your research and consider your style of learning to choose the best learning environment for you.
