Dunlop’s international sales team recently visited the Far East for the Music China 2011 trade show in Shanghai, and toured music stores in Shanghai, Tokyo, Japan, and Seoul, South Korea.

As gear nerds, we were fascinated by the images they brought back of Dunlop (and other) gear in stores, which offer a distinctly different buying experience from U.S. stores—some flashy displays, and lots equipment stacked and crowded behind glass, with a high level of floor sales attention and customer service as opposed to gear set up for ready customer interaction. Here are some of our favorite shots…

What’s the MXR compact stompbox that’s white with the black tribal on it?

  • Jakeneverwins

Looks to be a version of the Micro Amp, and the yellow one is some version of the Distortion +

  • Blabla

  • Gojira

Those are modded MXR pedals, like what Keeley does here.
