Since we’re on a serious Joe Bonamassa kick these days, today’s Friday Giveaway is a Way Huge Aqua Puss autographed by Joe himself.

The Aqua-Puss MkII is ready to bathe a tone-thirsty world in gorgeously smooth delay. One twist of the Delay knob takes you from a tight 20ms delay to a cavernous 300ms. The Feedback control regulates delay duration and intensity. But watch out. Extreme settings can send the Aqua-Puss MkII into self-oscillating psycho-freak-out mode! Meanwhile the Blend knob lets you set a balance between dry and delayed signal—from mild to wild. The Aqua-Puss MkII delivers all the spooky mystery of vintage analog delay and tape-based echo, with none of the hassle of creaky, ancient gear.

To enter to win this great effect pedal, use the comments section below to tell us your favorite Bonamassa song featuring delay on his guitar, and why you love it.

    Love me some bonamassa

  • Travismossmusic

I love the solo in dust bowl. It has a very haunting tone with a hint of delay.

  • Salmonline

    Dustbowl.

  • Szabolcs Kollár

    Sloe Gin!! MAGICAL SOUND!!

  • Steve A.

I’ll assume that Black Country Communion counts here, so I’m going with his solo on “Faithless” from the second record.  Just a touch o’ delay…. delicious.

  • Jeff_edwards1969

    I want this pedal!!!!

  • Ratko983

Sloe gin, live from Albert Hall, I think there’s a pinch of Aqua Puss in tone… why I love it? finding myself in that guitar and lyrics

  • cosmshaman

    Blues Deluxe

  • Phillippeet

Lie #1…. defines Joes rock tone..

  • Shadowari

Sloe Gin. I always listen to it when traveling on greyhound busses.

  • Benjamin Mossman

“Asking Around for You”  The tone on the intro is fabulous.

  • Waper

    Dustbowl, the delay is nice.

  • Leah Grabowski

Takin the hit, because it has really nice playing of Joe’s on it. I really like the solo :)

  • Luke Swanson

I love the subtle delay he uses on so many roads to make his lead lines really just stick out and sound huge. That is my favorite song by Joe because it has so much feel, passion, and it is just in the pocket.

  • Austin Skeen

“Stop” – the delay is so subtle, but at the same time, aggressive. That man can make his guitar cry like no other.

  • http://twitter.com/blakejcan Blake Cantrell

    all of them! whoopie!

  • Tomtrifoso

Outsider, Black Country Communion. Joe’s guitar has a sound in this song like the guitars I grew up with.

  • DannyAlyosha

I love a delay that I can really tweak and make my own sound with. I like to write progressive riffs with the just the right delay in order to get a trippy and mindfucking sound. I’m working on a solo project right now and this pedal would really suit me well. Three songs from it are going straight to artery and it would be absolutely amazing to have this shit for the sound I would get out of it.

  • Smokeater1024

Asking around for you. The tone is great!

  • Leif M.

dustbowl is spooky. I need some aqua on my puss.

  • Max Zamarron

Django  Live at Royal Albert Hall because i would start crying if that many people stood up and cheered for me but he deserves it. one of the best, i love his playing.

  • Russ

I don’t know what the song is called.  But he tore into something on his PBS special at the Albert Hall that was AMAZING!

  • wayne goyette

    “Faithless” from the second record.

  • Kevin Schmalz

If Heartaches Were Nickels  – Old school blues, then in your face chorus.  Awesome!

  • Andrés Torres Rojer

The solo from Reconsider Baby is just genius, every time I listen to it, shivers are sent through my spine.

  • Jaimie

I have to go with Dustbowl. Thanks!

  • Bigcribber42

Well I saw him play Just Got Paid live and he probably went through his whole pedal board during like a 10 minites long solo and his playing was spot on and get tone

  • Mhead28

    dustbowl

  • Jimwell34

I really like the way he tacks on ending jams from classic songs to other songs like the end of starship trooper….by yes…it tickles my brain

  • Wb

Dust bowl for its atmosphere and sonic textures

  • John Struemph

I agree with everyone on DustBowl. That is some Way Huge tone on that song. However I really love everything I’ve ever heard of Joe’s. He’s one of the few that alot of the time sounds better live than on vinyl… J

  • Conor Johnston

The way Joe makes his guitar whine in ‘Stop’ just blows me away. haha

  • Anonymous

Dusbowl because it’s just simply awesome and I’d like to do a cover with this pedal!

  • Tripleb_2001

Solo from the Ballard of Johm Henry!!!! Awesome tone, awesome song!!!

  • Nick Doukas

Dust bowl simply because the combination of etherial and southern influenced guitar and haunting lyrics give the listener a great feeling of the blues.

  • Fheadswift

Any song’s from the Black Country Communion, it’s what turned me on to Joe and now I’m fan of his recordings.  Love the Royal Albert Hall recording, Stop is awesome.

  • Mattspiers77

Got to be the solo on sloe gin amazing tone

  • Anonymous

Dust bowl because he uses just a few notes to make the melody, but it sounds so huge.

  • Ruben Rocha

    Sloe Gin…

  • Sean_pantera

Joe doesn’t need any pedals, but the ballad of john henry kicks ass, he steam rolls that shit!

  • Mike

    Sloe Gin

  • http://twitter.com/ethanber Ethan Bertrand

My favorite song featuring the use of delay by Mr. Bonamassa has to be Dust Bowl. From the minute the guitar comes in, the listener is hit with the delay.  The delay creates a cool vibe in the tone, and song.  It gives the song more guitar because everything he plays is quietly repeated afterwards. It sort of makes it sound like the listener’s head is shaking a little bit. The best part of this song with delay is the solo.  Joe comes in slow and groovy with bends to set the tone.  Every bend he hits is carried out a little further by the delay.  Once he starts shredding towards the end, the effect is at it’s climax.  The notes blend together to create a musical vortex

  • Mike

Seems that Dust Bowl is the best choice here.  For me, any song of Joe Bonamassa works well.

  • salsapepper_55

My favorite is “Stop.” Especially the live version at the Royal Albert Hall.  I love this song not only because of the tone and guitar playing resonating within my heart, it’s as if his guitar is telling me the story and not just lyrics.  The lyrics tell me of a woman who’s tearing at my heart yet no matter how many women may walk out of our lives, our guitars, songwriting and making moving music won’t!

  • Brent

Dust Bowl does it for me…. great tone!

  • Steve Parish

    DustBowl…..it’s “choice”

  • http://twitter.com/StygiaBand STYGIA

How about an Yngwie song using delay?  :-O

  • AZFIDDY9

    Dustbowl….you know why.

  • Robb Hindle

I’d have to go with Dustbowl as well. Great tone on that tune; the delay is used to awesome effect in the intro. That’s what hooked me!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Sandy-Aphid/100001448893164 Sandy Aphid

I love his “Just Got Paid / Dazed and Confused”, just because he tosses the Theramin in there and it sounds awesome!

  • Will

Dustbowl…. love the song… love the tone..

  • LP-Goldtop

Gotta be Happier Times. Great solo, and delay doesnt drown the notes, it just compliment them

  • RubeDawg30

It’s a toss up for me. BCC – Sista Jane or Song Of Yesterday. Both of them are just FILTHY!

  • dang22

Dust bowl as it has a tremolly verbical delay sound thats hauntingly refreshing………Lol.      and ya I made up some words……..k!!

  • Benjamin2peters

Dust Bowl! Hands down! The first time I heard it, I was blown away by that delay!

  • JeffS

Well there seems to be alot of the obvious choices here. I am going to go a little deeper and go with the Purple inspired “Heartbreaker” off Dustbowl featuring Glenn “the Voice of Rock” Hughes. BCC is one of the best collaborations to come out in years but this contest is for a Bonamassa song. As to why I like it..Joe…Glenn.. ripping out some great Blackmorish riffs

  • Anonymous

    Stop.  No explanation needed.

  • Jon Erickson

Dust bowl would have to be my favorite.  It has a longing feeling, as if it was an older recording that has some gravity and history to it.

  • Anonymous

    Stop is an incredible song

  • GrahamYoung

Joe has monster tone; I love how he uses delay to fill things out.  My favorite Bonamassa song that features delay is the title track of his latest album: Dust Bowl.

  • http://twitter.com/Guitarstuff4U Brian

I’ll have to agree with everyone else it seems and pick “DustBowl” I’ve never used a delay before but Ole Joe makes it sound like he was born with one plugged into his……….guitar

  • Chris Genral96

Dust bowl because he uses a couple notes to make something so awesome!1

  • Rfishing

Ballad of John Henry live is the ticket

  • Mike R

I like The Great Flood.  Love the slightly dirty guitar in the beginning, and then how it builds momentum and adds gain throughout the song.

  • Joshua Miller2

Sloe gin is my fave, he has a great depth to his notes. It’s not over the top but seems to make one not flow into the next. It leaves an anticipation in the pauses between phrases. Love it!

  • http://twitter.com/davezzzz davezzzz

I have to say Dust Bowl also – awesome sound on that track.

  • Giovanni Marchi

the best solo played by joe is the sloe gin one! the guitar speaks exactly what joe’s heart would say.

  • Liz2683

the best solo played by Joe Bonamassa is Sloe Gin. it really speaks to alot of people

  • Adam Rosette

    Sloe Gin!

  • Sergio Flores

I think sloe gin one is the solo because the way he plays and works the guitar is just mind boggleing and he truly is an amazing guitarist.

  • Robert

Love the use of the delay in Sloe Gin! But the way he builds up his tone in Stop! and Django using Delay and Reverb just sounds larger than life.

  • Wytfel

Your funeral, My Trial, just love that tone and those quick little licks

  • Jonathan Guillemette

I’m with most of you on Sloe Gin, Joe is an amazing guitar player.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_YORVKVHQNANTT62L4RC3K3EQSQ James

Dustbowl – just love that spooky delay.

  • Dafrprjr

I really like “The Last Matador of Bayonne”.  Such force and emotion.

  • VerrucktsAl

dustbowl because i want to win this pedal

  • Scottcasey66

What i like about Joe’s tone is that the delay is always on, it sounds huge! I never turn mine off either!

  • cjMhill

Love Sloe Gin at Royal Albert Hall and most others :-) .  The sound with the delay is so expansive and amazing. Love the sound of the Aqua Puss in the demos that I have seen. Great product!

  • brupop

    dustbowl, it’s cool, dry tone

  • Pleadguitar

Dust bowl is a good one, its simple yet beautiful at the same time

  • Kevin R

Definitely Dust Bowl, just absolutely love the sound on that one.

  • Spamailbox

Dust Bowl for a sound as big as the prairie…

  • http://twitter.com/Goldtop2011 Tyler Cochran

Asking Around For You has to be my favorite Bonamassa song period. =)

  • Taylor Scott

Dust Bowl… Have you heard it?

  • Goochink

    DustBowl

  • Doug Child

I really love the song Dust Bowl!  It has a haunting quality to it …………..

  • Drdavidlevy

Walk in my shadow, long remember free

  • http://twitter.com/ssergi22 Sam Sergi

The solo from “Song of Yesterday” is beautiful with a tone that comes from Joe’s soul.

  • Casey Scott

I’ll cast another vote for “Dust Bowl.”. Joe’s delay tone gives the song the perfect ethos. I also really dig the very subtle delay on his cover of the classic Tracy Chapman song, “Give Me One Reason.”

  • Ben Sher

Dust bowl all the way! Great tone and great playing!

  • Brian Buckley

I love the growl Joe gets in the lead parts on ‘Three Times a Fool’

  • Trihard33

I saw him live, just listen. With Dunlop pedals and a Silvertone guitar he could rock the world. John Henry lives.

  • Anonymous

    There all good.

  • Anonymous

i love his live version of Just Got Paid from the Royal Albert Hall show

  • 23

dust bowl, simply amazing delay there

  • Patrick

    i love sloe gin

  • My_fathers_eyes

Just got paid Live! (Besides- Is there a Bad Joe song??????)

  • Joe

Sloe Gin is just a great song. He uses just enough delay to give the notes some air, without overdoing it and washing everything out.

  • Mark Thompson

His ‘instrumental medley’ which included songs from ZZ Top & Led Zeppelin that he did live at the “High Voltage 2011″ concert in England, sponsored by ClassicRockMagazine. He played his Flying V and used a Theremin. It was the best instrumental jam I’ve ever heard, and I’m 56 (in 2 weeks) and I’ve heard them all. Joe Bonamassa IS the current guitar king.

  • Charlie

love the tone on dust bowl, if the aqua puss is how he did it, then i definitely want one!

  • http://twitter.com/ArrowsmithC Charlie Arrowsmith

The best reverb/delay intro Jb has done is the intro to dust bowl. I sounds so eerie!

  • Tunetoys

Sloe Gin , saw him at the Performing Art Center in Reading

  • Sanik Almaty

    I also choose “Dust Bowl”…

  • Jude

    Sloe Gin!!

  • Mkatranci33

    Dust bowl.It sounds awesome.Eargasm man

  • Mr. Kurlee

I don’t like Joe’s music. I’ve never met the guy, and I’m sure he’s nice, but I just don’t care for his music. However, I love my Aqua-Puss, and could easily make room in my heart (and on my board) for another…

  • http://twitter.com/PlanetGuitar Planet Guitar

Blues Deluxe from Live from Royal Albert Hall because it´s very subtle
    Joe Bonamassa – Blues Deluxe

  • Noeleiffe

Dust Bowl or Sloe Gin…must we choose?

  • Fred (Bender)

I am “Way Huge”  fan of J.B. I have seen him in concert. I will be buying the J.B. Crybaby and would love to have an autographed Puss Pedal. “Dust Bowl”.

  • Poppa Meth

Has to be Dust Bowl. It’s got that unearthly vibe to it.

  • Guest

three times a fool, the riffs are just awesome

  • http://twitter.com/eriknordlund Erik Nordlund

I have to say Dust Bowl as well… haha

  • btbarnhart

Hope I’m not too late here… huge Bonamassa fan.  For me, “Colour and Shape”; the soloing on this is so rhythmic, bluesy, has so much heart, and the speed comes in and he just destroys it.  He can do it all… you can just look at that guy’s hands and you can tell he was born to play.

  • Realvlote

Bought the pork loin, ordered the JB Fuzz and wah and have my les paul gold top and korina flying V ready, just dying for a way huge aqua puss

  • Eric

    Happier Times!

  • http://twitter.com/Wertical93 Michal Valášek

Dust Bowl is pretty… I don’t know how to describe it, but that fantastic mixture of Joe’s voice, decent bass, impressive solo… simply amazing!

  • Rick Bulwicz

    Sloe Gin is niiiiiiiiiice.

  • Matthew Cook

sloe gin, because there is nothing better then some minor blues love and the solo just links the song together, it just wouldnt be the same without some amazing Joe going nuts on the guitar in such a amazingly chaotic yet so perfectly melodic manner, lotta adjectives, yet it does the solo no justice.

  • JH

Dust Bowl is so ethereal and poignant

  • Rob Cafaro

For sure Slow Train is just full of those tasty blues licks, with  just enough delay blended in to bring out the high end and decay quickly! Joe Bonamassa is by far one of the greats right now.

  • Frank

     ”Dust Bowl”, sounds spacious.

  • Triodeotl

I love Joe’s new track on Derek Sherinian’s new album Oceana.

  • Elliott W.

    Sloe Gin, nice fat sound

  • Anonymous

I love the delay he uses on the theremin in the ballad of john henry, it just add so much to the song.

  • Nik

No love on the street. hands down, love his tone on that song, also one of the best wah tones ive ever heard……

  • Steven Joe

Joe Bonamassa solo live in birmingham 8th november 2008 fast powerfull soloing on the Goldtop his father repaired from his shop!

  • Nuno Marcelino

I love how the delay in Stop! makes the music sound really jazzy. It is very weak, it is not very perceptible, but it makes a HUGE difference. And the solo…. Beautiful, no words.

  • Estar

I just love song from fresh album with Beth Hart, it’s fan tas tic!
And from “old” ones, probably Joe’s guitar in sloe gin

  • Anonymous

I love his cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Nobody’s Fault But Mine’, the tune rocks, the tone rocks, and it’s the kind of tune that just makes you want to play guitar!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_XRQNBFC57M7Y3QA2VQXPBEMW3U Pascal

I have a crush for his solo on ‘Steal Your Heart Away’ – first of all it’s blazing solo by itself, all virtuosity and musicality. And this short delay gives a bit of depth to the sound, just like a small room does.

  • Kevin Brown

Love all of Joe’s playing, huge fat tone and super smooth.  Sloe Gin is a good one, lots of stuff on Dust Bowl too.

  • Vladimir Erfan

“Blues Deluxe” live version., because it’s one of the best blues tunes of the last decade.

  • Wade Dwyer

Sloe Gin has to be my favorite.  The delay manages to add so much to the song while not being a “front and center” distraction to the rest of the composition.

  • Skiboatdriver

My favorite is “Slow Gin” off of Live at the Royal Albert Hall. The intro to the song, with the delay, just gives me the chills every time I hear it. To be able to play the guitar like that is just incredible.

  • TheWolfman

“Had to Cry Today” check out the live performance on YouTube.
He makes his axe scream like a virgin on prom night and cry like the morning after.

  • kostas

“Color and Shape” from the new day yesterday album ’cause that’s what you want from your delay…
And that song have both of them!!!

  • Zcregle1

Sloe Gin. Just takes me to a different place

  • James Ricks III

I LOVE THE ALBERT HALL TAPE AND HE KICKS IT IN SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE WHEN IT GET’S GUSHY, YOU CAN REALLY TELL. SLOE GIN AND DUST BOWL ARE SWEET TOO. YOU DON UNDERSTAND THAT I’D YANK MY TOENAIL OFF FOR THIS PEDAL PLEASE GUYS  WHEN I COME UP IN LIKE 3 YEARS, I’LL GET MY SIGNATURE CRYBABY, AND MY FUZZ FACE, BUT PLEASE LET ME GET THIS I’LL LOVE YOU A LONGG TIME

  • Alex Buckley

The ballad of john henry from live at the albert hall. Using the delay with the theremin sounds brilliant after he mutes it with the volume pedal and lets the high pitched craziness continue with a long delay time.

  • Andresasalomon

    Awesomely blue!

  • Anonymous

I saw Sloe Gin recently inn Baltimore and it was heart-wrenching -  I don’t know how he made the tones but it made me want to die.

  • http://twitter.com/Jordan_E_ Jordan E

Dust Bowl because of the simple guitar parts but sound so layered and massive

  • Brandonmorris324

Dust Bowl. First song I ever heard by Mr. Bonamassa and I was captivated by the guitar part.

  • Saruman96

    Stop

  • Saruman96

Stop- A slow and moody blues ballad with two great and distinct solos, one in the style of the great BB King moving on into the powerful, distorted Bonamassa solo. All in all, great vocals, tone, soloing and fills! Has to be one of my favourite songs by him!

  • Justin S

    I don’t have a favorite.

  • http://twitter.com/MobyTheMinnow67 Brett Husebye

I like Stop it grooves baby :)   Its a great song.

  • Guest

Dust Bowl because it sounds great

  • Jenniferc892

You upset me baby…. Even without the words the music speaks to you…soul reaching, inspiring, and powerful!

  • Shiv

I remembered the first time I heard Bonamassa was Blues Deluxe. Its Bonamassa in his purest slow blues. He dances between the major and minor pentatonics, makes the song into a story with his guitar, and touches every blues note ever heard. At the end of the day, the song showed me the blues, and Blues Deluxe a remarkable example of technique, note selection, and most importantly, feeling.

  • Gponea

Dust Bowl. A great song, really moves me.

  • Dustin Hunter

It has to be Dustbowl. Classic.

  • Pc_trott

I like Sloe Gin. I also like the song by that name…

  • StillRock

There’s just a hint of delay and a splash of reverb on BCC II’s The Battle for Hadrian’s Wall slide parts. It really makes them sound ethereal.

  • Jason Judge

Sloe Gin.  Just all the right notes.

  • Eng13capt

I would have to say its “Stop.”  I love the soul filled jazzy style!

  • http://twitter.com/RiLynda Lynda

Joe Bonamassa “Don’t Burn Down The Bridge” is amazing, old school killer sound!

  • Greg Riddle

Dustbowl is good, haunting.  The delay and tremolo in the song are used to perfection.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/EDYPOJFNHPQYPPOSLO54WRGRCA Timmy Eb

    Black Lung Heartache is incredible!!!

  • Shoenertom

Jockey Full of Bourbon is my pick, from “John Henry” album.

  • Spikemtz

Sloe Gin would have to be the one. It was the first of his I’d ever heard, so it sticks with me…

  • Josh Baez

Stop because it’s a freaking amazing song!!

  • http://twitter.com/ttownscott Scott Harris

Blues Delux Live at the Royal Albert Concert Hall. If I can’t see him live I want to feel like I’m hearing him live and he is great in this recording.

Sloe Gin, defintinely! The solo, the sound, the tone! Gives me the creeps everytime i listen to it!

  • dlab

One more for Dust Bowl… haunting with that tremolo too…

  • Flattoprocker67

“DUST BOWL”….for the funky groove….and the spaghetti western feel to the piece!!

    l

  • Skins_fan_27

Ballad of John Henry at the very end he plays with the feedback and repeats and it sounds just awesome.

  • Brucefon

I think Dustbowl is the best example of what this spooky smooth pedal can do.
