The Dunlop shop is all a-buzz with this week’s announcement from Slash about his new album’s title and artwork. It seems only fitting that this week’s Friday giveaway be a Slash Signature Cry Baby Wah, with a bottom plate autographed by the top-hatted guitar hero!

Like the man himself, the Slash Wah from Dunlop is both revolutionary and classic, right down to its hot rod metallic red finish and cutting edge circuit design. The Slash Wah deploys a searing high gain distortion coupled with the Fasel-loaded Classic circuit for instant lead tone that not only cuts through, but sings with a sweet and lush top end. Convenient LEDs indicate distortion on/off and wah on/off modes, so there’s no more guessing game every time you put your foot down. And with the batteries readily accessible from the top of the rocker pedal, you don’t have to fumble with a screwdriver when it’s time to re-power. So get your boot on a Dunlop Slash Wah. Top hat not included.

Actually, mine isn’t so much a solo, but the way he uses the wah in the song “Civil War”, as well as that little outro with the wah….very cool  Sound is very vocal like.

I’m definitely going with Night Train because – doubtless – it’s at it’s heart about the bottom of the barrel gut busting “Night Train” red wine in a cheap green bottle that we used to score on road trips in college. Anyone that can put that kind of kiss on a cheap bottle of booze oozes ROCK AND ROLL!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=619799730 Andrew Henry

its Gotta be sweet Child for me. just epically classic.

The solo in Sweet Child is the reason I got my firstDunlop Wah.

Sweet Child O’Mine, it starts off slow and simple, builds, breaks, then ends with an urgency that mirrors the vocals.

Gotta be Sweet Child O Mine!..The Hign notes Low notes..The blend…The pull offs at the end of solo…Help me rebuild my pedal board…This is a great way to start

  • ChrisK

Oh MAN!!! Such a nice looking wah!!! sweet child would be the Slash solo…. it rocks the wah hard – full play!! I have been lusting after a good wah since my very first one which was a Foxx fuzz wah. Dunlop makes such good equipment I can only dream of what it would be like to win a shiny new red one in a contest.

  • Rockin_dude_man

By the Sword, because musicality came first above speed and flashiness, and a lot of times what you don’t play lends itself to the solo.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001592988470 David Normart

My favorite slash solo is sweet child o mine cause it starts calm but once that wah kicks in he goes crazy

  • Scott Treiber

Slash is Rock n Roll   n all his solos rock

  • http://twitter.com/dimeslime Don Hajek

    Sweet Child Of Mine,of course!!

  • Marc1kim

Hard to narrow em down, Sweet child o’ mine.  Slash took a guitar, amp, and wah and flawlessly used them as tools to speak directly from his soul.

  • Caleb N Webb

Sweet Child ‘O Mine… Think it will resonate through countless more generations.

  • http://www.facebook.com/stonieslagg Stanton Hancock

I’m with the majority on here.  Sweet Child all the way!

  • Goldtop9

Never before has a song title and intro meshed so was as Slither. The entire song feels like it was just meant to be, as though every thing Slash had written before was just a stepping stone to Slither. Then seeing him play it live in San Francisco while touring in support of his first solo album set me on fire. Its fantastic to see such an icon of rock and guitar be respected with his own signature wah.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Izzy-Young/100000640295186 Izzy Young

By the Sword is one…so much feeling! You can’t go wrong with Sweet child!! Along with Slither!! and alot of stuff outa the snake pit years!!! ……….The wah just gives it so much feeling!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/mdwaddell Michael D. Waddell

    Sweet Child of Mine. It
screams Cry-Baby Wah. No other pedal would work.

  • Lon Hoofnagle

Sweet Child O’ mine, it just has THAT sound. It speaks to me

  • Joshuakoller

Slither from Velvet Revolver. That whole album had a bitchin’ wah tone, haven’t been able to match it myself

Most Definitely the solo on Sweet Child o’ Mine! that song just rocks!! I’ll never tire of hearing that one, oh and to Mr. Heed, Ive sent a fair number of wrigglies swimming away to it as well! can you say wooooot!?

Sweet Child ‘o Mine…just can’t deny it its place in Rock history…

  • Mfreed

    Has to be Paradise City!!

  • Littlepunchy

He’s not that great….can I please win something for once without saying how good a “marginal” guitar player is??

  • Mark

CIVIL WAR FOR THE WIN! Just gotta love that precision-wah-drenched solo. Feeling, technique, phrasing and wah-it’s got it all.

  • Anonymous

“Sweet Child O’ Mine”, because the wah starts at at the exact moment so natural! This is great wah pedal and looks so hot too! :)

  • Darrin

    Sweet Child O MIne

  • Jerry Sturch

Sweet Child of Mine without a doubt.  Brilliant solo.

  • ad

Civil War, because it conveys the emotion that is in the song.  Without his wah, it wouldn’t do that.

  • Mike R

Whenever I think of Slash’s playing, the iconic solo that goes through my head is the one from Sweet Child of Mine.

  • Snowman6986

    sweet child all the way

  • Al Sparks

    Mr. Brownstone without a doubt.

  • Tracy

    Sweet Child O Mine!

  • Jimmy Knowles

Yeah, I know it will sound cheesy and overstated, but yes the November Rain solo at the break when he gets going by the church is still a classy piece of solo work no matter how many people say it. Lot of soul and vibe in that solo which is the selling point for most all solo’s for me. That said, please lord let me win this wah!!!

  • slowpoke

Are you kidding me, WHICH ONE IS MY FAVORITE! All of them of course, thats like taking me to a budweiser factory and asking me to pick out my favorite one. You guys are nutz!!!!

  • Jeff

Sweet child o’ mine, mainly because how many ballad songs have a rockin fn’ solo on it????only the musical genious slash could link together a solo like that :)

  • Ryan Boisjolie

Civil War has the most distinct and soulful wah tone from Slash by far!

  • Brandonmorris324

Mine was Sweet Child Of Mine because it was the song that made me fall in love with Slashes playing.

  • Wendell

I totally dig his use of the wah on By the Sword

  • Klbriggs

The final part of “Sweet Child of Mine.” Been 20 years and I still love it!

  • Mok Eric

    Sweet child o’ mine!!

  • Mweeksolathe

Anything Goes from the AFD album. Such a bluesy, raw riff and encompasses Slash’s signature sound with the Wah.

  • Daemonwhelp

It’s not an easy desicion, but for me it would have to be by the sword. The transition from the riify rhythm to the simple yet tastefull bluesy solo still gets me everytime

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1258026673 Mark Hagel

the solo in slither-angry and raw wah.and juicy wah

  • Brent

Sweet Child is a classic wah tone

  • http://twitter.com/JeremyGardner33 Jeremy Gardner

November Rain! November is my  birth-month!

  • Brian Plath

The wah solo on Sweet Child of Mine has to be the most remembered and imitated of Slash’s technique, just like Jimi Hendrix’s Voodoo Chile

  • Kirby

    Definately Civil War

  • S Huck

A lot of great solos to choose from but Mr Brownstone was the first time I thought “I need to take a second look at these guys”. Can’t wait to hear the new album with Myles Kennedy

  • Mjberg1

they are like my children I like them all equally!

  • Zendavis

Definitely Sweet Child! That solo influenced so many rock bands! It’s so killer!

  • Mr. Brownstone

Mr. Brownstone,  off of Appetite for Destruction record, it has some really interesting rhythms and flashy licks that help make the song stand out. I just love the intro Slash does in the beginning, it kinda reminds me of Hendrix’s Voodoo Chile.

  • Corrick Watson

The solo in sweet child o mine and november rain was probably the best. I see people having the hardest time trying to imitate that solo with the same wah and it does not come out. Its so funny. Its unique.

  • Mpadilla911

My fav solo has to be November Rain, its hard to describe but it grabs you and  puts you in another place from where the song started, more feelings in those notes than alot of other artists fancy solo’s that just run scales all over the place.

  • Gkthomas17

Sweet Child makes me want to put on a top hat!

  • Joshua

Sweet Child of Mine baby!! It’s just so tasty!!!

  • Jason walston

  • Jakesnake598

Sweet child o mine, because it’s epic that is why

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Gary-Donnelly/1831275127 Gary Donnelly

Sweet Child o’ Mine has to be my favorite solo of Slash’s that he uses the Wah on. I was 13 in 1987 when I first heard it. It was at that point that I knew I wanted to play guitar and have been playing ever since. He will always be one of my biggest influences and favorite players of all time. Iv’e played around with this wah pedal before and I can tell you it kicks major ass!! I would love to get my hands on one of these!

  • Max

MMMmm definately Sweet Child O’ Mine (just like everyone else is saying).

  • Nicksw2000

Definitely the wah solo from Sweet Child! Well crafted, excellent tone.

  • Bryan

Cival War- one of my favorite GNR songs. I play it all the time. I love the tone Slash makes. The wah in the solo is one of my favorites. Especially the outro. Great wah pedal usage!

  • Jeffery5595

    Sweet Child ‘o Mine!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Michael-Watkins/100001142410971 Michael Watkins

i’d have to say the solo for civil war it’s such an integral part of the song it’s not too over the top but it isn’t weak either its a perfect kick ass balance between sweet soul laden scales and kick ass shredding

  • Evan

Sweet Child Of Mine, the wah in that adds so much effect, it’s great. Also it’s the first song I ever (tried) to tackle on guitar back when I was first learning.

  • Garhett Jones

Civil War,wait,Sweet Child O’ Mine,no,Mr.Brownstone!! can we really just pick one? there’s just too many. m/ SLASH

  • Joshua goldschmidt

The solo for slither is abosolutly amazing. I love the speed changes between bends and the wah pedal helps keep it all together.

  • http://www.facebook.com/FREHLEYACE John S Luekemeyer

Sweet Child would be my favorite..

  • http://www.facebook.com/BaaadboyDon Donald Shell

I don’t but slash Rocks still and if I win this I’m going to find out.

  • http://www.facebook.com/BadAss4lifeBLS Wayne Schimpf

Sweet Child O’ Mine…the use of the wah is brilliant & the song bring’s back so many memory’s

  • Slugmojo

november rain… the whole solo sounds like an entirely different composition, yet fits perfectly !

  • khan0000

Yeah, I gotta go with Slither too.

  • Ryan

Civil War, definitely!  Recreating that solo is how I ended up with my current Crybaby.

  • Greg Riddle

Sweet Child ‘O Mine.  The lead is perfect using the crybaby, everything Slash does on that song is perfect.

  • therevchuckiew

Sweet child of mine, because it was the first GNR song I heard tat the tone stood out to me more than the riffs.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1567434477 Jack Williamson

Voodoo Chile with Zakk Wylde. Two masters oozing medlodic goodness, it doesn’t get any better.

  • Jennifer B.

Sweet Child of Mine is a great one of Slash using the Wah Wah!  I love it because he has some awsome sustain and its just a killer song!

  • Voodooroxie

We’ve been dancing, with Mr. Brownstone! He won’t leave me alone!

  • http://twitter.com/missmollymcgee Molly Malarkey

Cliche I know, but Sweet Child of Mine. It’s one pieces of music that made me strive for wah perfection. Plus here’s the thing, I’m female. The boys minds are blown when I lay foot on a wah! I could really use Slash’s to get me to the next level and conquer the world!

  • AndyM

Gotta be his “Godfather” cover… Just out of pure epicness.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdV-eOhb-bc&feature=fvst

  • I need a Wah!

CIVIL WAR!  It is just a great song with a killer guitar licks all the way through it.  Love the sound.

  • Rich

Sweet Child because it’s the ship that launched a thousand riffs…and Slither because it’s so tasty

  • John Lind

Make my choice Paradise City, because it’s a great solo and I like it. I can’t say why beyong that . . .

  • Denogean

    Sweet child of mine

  • Anonymous

Sweet Child O’ Mine. It was the first I heard.

  • Alejandro4891

sweet child of mine since it’s the only one i can think of off the top of my head.

  • Goochink

It’s split between November Rain & Locamotion

  • Jim Dunlop’s illegitimate kid

I love Civil War. That song is just cool.  I remember listening to this song in high school, playing the air guitar, and hoping to someday be that good on a real guitar.  Needless to say that didn’t happen, but still working on it! (20 years later)

  • Slayer25252001

Shine from Slash’s Snakepit Ain’t Life Grand album is pretty heavy with the wah. Great vintage sound.

  • AZFIDDY9

Slash rocks, period. Sweet child,, welcome to the jungle, I can’t quit listening to “Made In Stoke.” And now Mustaine seems to be losing his mind, so….

  • Randy Johnson

Sweet child of mine is so iconic.  I’m sure when it came out originally that Dunlop saw a bump in wah sales.

  • Db

Always on the run with lenny kravitz.

  • http://twitter.com/ReligionSucketh Jonathan Jones

It’s hard to pick just one, but I was just listening to the live version of “Mr. Brownstone” from his Live In Stoke album, and he uses his Crybaby all over that song, so I’ll go with that for now.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=63914534 Joe Riska

I’ll go with Paradise City.  Why?  Well, I’m fairly certain that the solo towards the end of the song might be the single greatest solo ever recorded, but we’ll never know because f’n Axl had to sing over the damn thing.  AND he didn’t have any new lyrics or anything, he just kept repeating snippets from the chorus.  What a dick!

I KNOW for a fact they could have put more Slash on that part!  My old band mixed our last album on the same console that Appetite was recorded on – THERE WAS ROOM!  It could have been done!  Damn you Axl Rose!  Damn you to hell!

  • Mark Thompson

“Sweet Child of Mine” would get my vote because it’s a classic song played by a classic styled guitarist on THE CLASSIC effect’s pedal. This number will go down as GNR’s signiature song, and Slash’s wah-wah has a lot to do with it. This song ranks right up there with Cream’s “Tales of Brave Ulysses”, Jimi Hendrix’s “Voodoo Child (Slight Return), and Chicago/Terry Kath’s “I’m a Man” as the best CRY BABY song’s of all-time.

  • Anonymous

Sweet Child O Mine, just for that fast run that I never have and never will be able to play

  • sm

Civil War – good distinct tone integral to the tune.

  • Stratahead

I wish I could write something different but:

The Wah-Solo in Sweet Child O’ Mine is the best!!!

    DOES THAT NEED AN EXPLANATION?

OK for all that want to hear a good one:

This solo is so great that Jimi Hendrix wished it would be his Wah-Solo :P

Even for this single solo it is fair that Slash gets his own Signature-Wah.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Poushal Poushal Gopaul

    november rain

  • ElRecquero

The best solo all times is the solo of Sweet child o’ Mine. I always wanted a Slash Wah.

Solo from By The Sword. Its the most epic solo I heard last year. Its so powerfull, but with something peacefull when it starts. I can play this solo but I dont have wah … It will be really aawesome if you can help me with this terrible lack in my guitar equipment !

Definitely Sweet Child O Mine. It’s just always been my favorite GNR song

  • Rilynda

Slash does an amazing job with his ripping wah-wah guitar solos. I would have to say my old time fav would be “Sweet Child o’ Mine”. But love them all! He does an amazing job with the wah wah..I wish the Top Hat was included. ; )

  • Grant Heil

    Sweet child, or even estranged

  • David Green

Either Sweet Child (sorry, I know it’s been voted for about a million times but it really is that good), or ‘You could be mine’.
Great tune, great tone. Well played Mr Slash from Stoke.

Obviously the Sweet Child solo because its like Bow-chika-bana-chicka-bana-chicka-bana then it’s all, bana-chicka-bana-chicka-bomp-bomp-bana-lana. Not to mention the meEeEew-mew-mew-mew-mew. Pretty rad.

    Sweet Child O’ Mine

Paradise City, it’s been my favorite song since I was 9 years old when I first heard it.

The Slither solo is KICK ASS!!!  It’s just got so much pure rock n roll energy that every time I hear it I wanna get up and rock out!

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/6ALUOXPEB5BGPTMYYJ7JRMOO7Q Andrew Amadeo

Sweet Child O’ Mine, My parents listened to a lot of GNR when I was little. I thought (and still do think) that it’s one of his best, even though the song came from slash joking around

Civil War- first Slash solo I learned! Totally kicks ass!

Sweet Child O’ Mine  as many here have already mentioned.

think I’m in the majority when I say “Sweet Child O’Mine”  but its a classic

  • Sergey Grodzenskiy

“Sweet Child O’ Mine”, classic heh, but awesome.

  • http://twitter.com/Jordan_E_ Jordan E

Watch This from his solo album! He uses to full effect on the break down part! It fits perfectly into the song.

  • andyb24

    Sweet child of mine!

  • Mark

CIVIL WAR FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!! Wah-drenched solo with accurate precision, feeling and technique-it’s got it all.

  • Metaldave768

All his solos are excellent ,…but if I must pick just one,….The wah-laden solo in Sweet Child O’ Mine has always been one of my favorites. It seems to just cry with emotion ,…you can feel it in your bones….LOVE IT !!!!

  • Barao

Civil War, no doubt, more than a solo a STATEMENT!

  • Anonymous

for me it’s just everything slash’s doing with the wah… it’s not the solos it’s him and without his passion to play the wah the way he plays it, it wouldn’t be a wah tone that runs down your back and makes you feel so free and happy in your heart… that’s what signature tone means to me.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ghiroltean-Daniel/1012994803 Ghiroltean Daniel

“November Rain” has to be it because I remember when as a kid I used to pretend to play the solo and it made me feel like a true rockstar !

  • Daddyo1

Can it get any cooler than this?!

  • Joe

The end/ outro solo in November Rain, because it’s just so huge, over-the-top, and badass. The song as a whole may be a little overblown (I think the string section was a bit excessive), but that solo gets me playing air guitar every damn time I hear it. Slash’s playing is the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Chris-Churchill/725615571 Chris Churchill

Slither is just a badass song, with a solo to match

  • Jeffrey Vastine

Well it seems that the majority like Sweet Child O’ Mine and I must cocur as the way that Slash uses the wah it adds an extra emotive layer to the soundscape that really enhances the composition in a manner that draws the listener into the piece. This is why the majority have selected this song.

    Peace!

  • Jheidel

Sweet child o mine, of course, because I can play it with the record note for note!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/babydoll1129128 Sharon Martin

“SWEET CHILD” IS MY FAVORITE, BECAUSE I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT SLASH!!!

  • Dixon Stewart

Slither by Velvet Revolver is my favourite.  Simply one of the most exciting solos, I have ever heard.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/ZTNQMGJIF7XMNT6334UDVJXXK4 Ed

I love the “Sweet Child Of Mine” solos!  These solos (especially the intro) are just really intricate and difficult to play.  I have tried to play them and it takes some major dexterity to play them.

  • thomasbraam

I love everything what Slash does whit the Wah! I love the Sweet Child O Mine solo! I also like the Mister Brownstone thing!(everthing) He is one of my biggest Herous. Everytime when i listen to the him i just fell in love with his sound!
I never had the money to buy this awesome wah! Hopefully now I can take this wah for a long testdrive!

  • Michifischermail

the slither solo by velvet revolver is absolutely kickass. everytime i listen to it, it makes me shiver. such a great piece of music… and i think its mostly influenced by the way slash uses his wahwah… listen to the recording of rock am ring in 2007,  where he uses another style playing it… amazing. simply amazing.

  • Haris Agic77

I really like the perfromance of the “By the Sword” on late late show (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUw7KQ32lyg). here, Slash comes across as a really ripe and experienced guitarist with still a great deal of burning heart on tap as he lets his wah-wah sing the blues from the subtle, low gain slowish kind of breeze to the soaring rough gain bend-the-shit-out-of-those-twenty-something-frets just to land on a real hooky theme riff with wah-wah still on… I mean, this little wah-wah endeavor just has it all doesn’t it. I get goose-bumps each time I hear it.

November Rain for it’s full-on epicness!

  • Frank

    Fall to Pieces

  • Jaydash

Come on Dunlop… there is only ONE answer! SCO’M is classic Slash, and classic Crybaby.

  • douglas holm

I prefer aggro roses to tender roses, and while the solo on Sweet Child is obviously dope, I usually skip past that song anyway. To my tastes, you can do no better than You Could Be Mine for a wah solo. If you want your wah soaked even jucier than that, you probably want to make a reggae album or something. So send me a wah, Bob. I want to play the home game.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1217484285 Nathan BanannaThug Braughton

Street Child, it is easily one of the least known songs that Slash has ever played and yet the emotion in the solo tops Sweet Child and November Rains. It’s that first note. As the rest of band is quiet, Slash hits the Slash note that we all wish we could hit. It’s like awesomeness in a bottle right there!

  • Jacob

The Sweet Child O’ Mine is the best because of how the dynamics build and become almost vocal-like. ITS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Firstchuckmo

Just my opinion and, I’m sure I’m not the first one to say it, but Sweet Child Of Mine has to be my favorite solo where Slash is definately using a Dunlop Wah. The only reason I say this is because you can actually hear it’s a Dunlop Wah he’s using and his solos during the song will be heard and remembered for year’s to come. THANK YOU DUNLOP for producing such great wah pedal’s and all the great songs made possible by your innovations! We all thank you!!!
    Sincerely,
    Charlie Medeiros

  • Jay Warmenhoven

The sweet child of mine solo, definitely! That entire song is laden with alll the tones I like to have flowing and blasting out of an amplifier, from the opening riff through duff’s opening line straight into the chorus and solos.

And I could really use a wah to make my guitar talk right now, cause I can’t talk meself, just got out of the h’pital where they did a number on my wisdom tooth and infected gums

  • Mark

CIVIL WAR FOR THE WIN!!!!!!! Wah-drenched solo with precision and accurate wah-phrasing, feel and technique-it’s got it all. Oh I’m posting this a 3rd time cos I really need and want a new wah, but just can’t afford one.

seriuosly dont like that random shit that he often plays (though its a huge great artist and muscisian)…
but November rain – is a cool stuff.
    P|S
dist channel of wah pedal is shit…

  • Topp Dogg

Sweet Child o’ Mine, classic Slash.

Probably have to be the segue solo in Sweet Child.good build up from the lead before the in your face wah tone begins.

  • Jhall0201

SWEET CHILD O’ MINE one of the best solos ever written and the wah-wah usage puts it over the top.

His and Zakk Wylde’s cover of Voodoo Child

  • Ericmaxwell

I would have to say the end solo of “Sweet Child o’ Mine”.  Every solo in that song is awesome, but the end one just gives me chills.  The first time that I heard it, I was 7 years old and my parents were watching MTV.  Since that day, it has been with me.  That’s what makes it so phenomenal; it leaves it’s mark, and never fades!

  • erik öberg

Second solo in pretty tied up from the ‘live era’ – album. I think that slash really demonstrates how to put a wah pedal to good use. If you listen to the way he rocks it along with the beat of the song and the rythm of the notes he’s playing and all of a sudden diverting from the steady rocking of the pedal to change the beat of what he is playing or simply slowing it down to build the emphasis on a certain section of fast notes, i think he creates a lot of musical tension that adds a lot of diversity to the solo not just in terms of playing with the sounds a wah-pedal is able to produce but also in terms of creating a certain mood, flavour and excitement that really fits this song and adds a lot of colour to it!

  • Steve A.

I’m going with his solo on “Slither” from the live Made In Stoke recording.  Yup.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000500239794 Jason Santonio Martin

Civil War, Because it captured Guns N Roses as there was a Civil War. And the way your guitar and Axl’s Voice seem in harmony. An Awesome song! and my favorite Wah Moment.
Or Take it away by Slash’s Snake pit as the the Wah is fully captured :D

  • Barrytmartin

    Welcome to the Jungle

  • Bane_spa

slither solo + wah = INSANE

  • Anonymous

Has to be Sweet Child O’ Mine.   Great solo. Starts out kind of melo and then Slash kicks in the wah and lets it rip. Took me a long time to get that solo down. Very impressive.

  • Michael Thompson

It may be the obvious choice, but I gotta go with Sweet Child O’ Mine too…that was a SMASH hit right when I started playing guitar, and the song was a major force in reshaping my thinking as far as guitar tone…I went from lusting after a double-locking vibrato pointy guitar in a bright color to actually getting a Gibson Les Paul and, of course, my first-ever effect pedal, a Dunlop Crybaby Wah!

  • ReLa

    Two words: Sweet Child

  • Mark

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: CIVIL WAR FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!! I really need a new Wah pedal, but just can’t afford one yet.

  • Mario

I wish I could have that pedal….slash is my hero since i was a kid.
I think Slither crybaby solo is amazing. check  “be the ball” too form Slash’s Snakepit

  • Becky Grayson

Sweet Child O’ Mine is the best ever!

    W00T!!!!

  • Oraib

I find it very difficult to just choose one. So I’ll list my 3 favourite ones.
    1. Street Child
This is one of my favourite Slash solos and it is VERY underrated and the emotion in this solo touches the heart for me more than the other solos. The use of the wah really enhances the sadness and it never fails to bring me to tears.
    2. Sweet Child O Mine
Who didn’t see this coming? It’s a really cool solo and very melodic. Hard to believe someone came up with a masterpiece like this.
    3. Civil War
This is my favourite song by Guns N’ Roses. Not just the guitar bit that I like but also the lyrics. The wah seems kinda out of place in a sad slow song like this but that’s what makes this my favourite song. It’s very…. Slash-y.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000435398175 Adonis Beltran

very difficult to choose only one solo so i listed my favorite 5

1.Sweet Child O’mine- brilliant Classic Wah solo and very catchy & melodic and expressive

2.Civil War- really cool solo and slash’s bends and melodic sweeps goes very great  with the Wah.

3.Mr.Brownstone-like the way slash does that Wack at the intro of the song and the solo is really cool and awesome

    4.Slither- raw and awesome,loud ,great and bad-ass!

5.By the Sword-like the way it blends and feels when slash does that solo with the Wah also a very expressive solo.
