Monday night we had the opportunity to see one of our favorite post-rock bands Mogwai hit the stage in San Francisco. These guys from Glasgow are huge in the UK, and we caught them on the West end of their US tour. They KILLED it, with lengthy guitar-based instrumental pieces that featured dynamic contrast, melodic bass guitar lines, and heavy (a definite understatement) use of distortion and effects. The list of Dunlop gear they use is far too long, but we’ll mention that they use our strings, picks, MXR and Cry Baby pedals, among many other things. We didn’t get a chance to take video at the show but we have some pics to share. You can check out the plethora of Youtube videos out there in internet land to get an idea of how exceptional they are.
