We’re big fans of our buddy Paul Gilbert and his latest album, Vibrato, and our man in Los Angeles was recently on hand in Hollywood to photograph the kickoff show of Paul’s current tour. Paul and his band — Thomas Lang (drums), Kelly LeMieux (bass) and Emi Gilbert (keys) — threw down an amazing set! The band is heading to Japan next week for three dates, after which they’re headed to New York.

Paul is currently playing Tortex .60 picks, MXR Script Phase 90 with the LED, MXR Distortion +, and the CAE Buffer.

Kelly LeMieux is using the MXR Bass Innovations M82 Bass Envelope Filter and M83 Bass Chorus Deluxe.
