It was Duane Allman’s birthday yesterday. Here is a belated to one of my favorite guitar players. I made a little backing track for Statesboro Blues. I think you can learn a lot about his slide playing just from this intro. He died young at the age of 24 in 1971. He was able to leave us some amazing recordings with The Allman Brothers Band, Derek and the Dominos, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett and many other Muscle Shoals recordings.
