The Long Story

Robert Trujillo’s powerful attack and monstrous tone have earned him the most coveted bass chairs in rock. We worked closely with him to develop a set of strings that deliver the power and tonal flexibility he needs to meet the demands of his rigorous playing schedule head on. Designed using the same formulas as Robert’s custom tapered set but made specifically for non-tapered setups, these strings will throw down a clear and articulate top end, solid midrange punch to cut through a wall of guitars, and more than enough focused bottom to knock you on your ass!

“Always trust your ears, attitude, and fingers. These strings are the perfect balance of power, tone, and resonance on wood.” —Robert Trujillo

      BUILT FOR RELENTLESS PLAYING

Robert's smash-and-grab attack really puts a set through it. That's why we designed these strings to hold the shape of every note and deliver that bold sound night after night, no matter how hard you hit them.

      Cut Through the Wall

When the guitars stack up and the mix gets crowded, you need strings that help you carve out your place. These pack a solid midrange punch and clear, articulate highs that cut right through. Test it yourself: have a couple of guitarists crank the gain chug out some riffs, then throw down a groove and hear every note hold its own.

      Power & Flexibility

Crushing riffs, deep grooves, melodic runs up top—Robert moves effortlessly from one to the other. This set has the range to cover it all, with the big bottom end to drive the heavy stuff and the expressive nuance to let the lyrical passages sing.

      Artist-Driven Refinement

Every signature string worth making starts with a problem worth solving. Robert's search for more power and tighter definition under his heavy attack helped shape a string that delivers both, show after show.
