STANDARD SERIES STAINLESS STEEL TAPERED BASS STRINGS 30-130 | 6-STRING

DBS30130T

Description

Gauges: 30, 45, 65, 85, 105, 130-Tapered Bass - Steel - Long Scale - 6-String Set

A low B needs proper saddle contact to bring the big, fat fundamental that only a low B can provide—and on a 6-string, it has to do that while sitting in balance with five other strings, high C included. We engineered this set's tapered low B to rest fully in the saddle and deliver that massive low end with tight focus and superior tuning stability, right alongside the aggressive edge and quick attack that define Dunlop Stainless Steel Bass Strings.

      PRECISION-ENGINEERED STRINGS

We started with a simple question: What should a great bass string actually sound like? After years of refining the answer with working musicians, we landed on a voice with strong fundamentals, punchy mids, and rich harmonics that stay musical in any mix. Eventually we realized the only way to keep chasing that idea was to build our own String Lab.

      Tapered for Clarity

Here's the thing about a low B: on some basses, a full-thickness string won't sit quite right where it crosses the saddle, and that big low note can come out uneven. A tapered B is thinner right at that contact point, so it settles in flush on setups where a standard B won't. That lets your low string ring out as cleanly and clearly as the rest of the range.

      Maximum Definition

There's a certain clarity you only really get from stainless steel strings—that crisp, articulate detail that puts an edge on every note. We built Dunlop Stainless Steel Bass Strings to deliver that vibrant definition without sacrificing the low end.

      Aggressive Midrange

When the band gets loud, the bass is usually the first thing to get buried. With the bold midrange bite of Dunlop Stainless Steel Bass Strings, you can carve out a space for your groove to sit in any mix.

      Tonally Balanced

The wider the range, the more string-to-string balance matters. We voice every string to work with the ones around it, so the feel and response stay consistent from the tapered low B all the way to the high C.

      Artist-Driven Refinement

You find out pretty quickly whether a bass string is any good when you're playing it every night. Touring musicians told us what held up, what didn't, and what they wished every string would do. We took that feedback back to the String Lab and kept refining until we got there.

      Distinguished by Design

The best gear isn't the gear you notice, it's the gear you stop thinking about because it simply works. That's been Dunlop's philosophy for more than 60 years, and it's the same mindset behind every string we build.
